4 Stocks that I am looking at right now

Don’t wanna read this shit? Here, here’s the list:

1)Fortune Brands Home & Security ($FBHS)

2)Republic Services ($RSG)

3) Corning (GLW)

4)Ball (BLL)

This surprisingly was meant to be a short post but it might end up being longer. I am going to take you on a quick tour of 4 companies I have been following for investment purposes and then I will dive into the reasons these stocks stick out to me.

1) Fortune Brands Home and Security- Fortune Brands is a relatively unknown company but I guarantee you have seen their products all over the place. They operate in 4 distinct categories (“wow with that fucking name I couldn’t have guessed”) those are: Cabinets, Plumbing, Doors, and Security. The segment that I think is most interesting is Security, because they own MasterLock and if you’ve ever been in a public high school or a gym locker room you are sure to have run into some of these locks, you might have been beaten with these durable locks. Well there all over the place and the go-to (not that you probably think of it much) for anyone just trying to get a lock in the store quickly. It’s hard to argue that MasterLock doesn’t have a giant stake in a fairly noncompetitive industry, which in turn helps $FBHS turn in more profit and revenue.

2) Republic Services- If you’re scratching your head and trying to think of where you’ve seen the name “Republic Services” then you just need to associate the name with one of your hometown rappers; that’s correct! You need to associate the name with trash. That’s what $RSG does, and shit do they do it well. The company has been growing for years and has easily rivaled the likes of other waste collection companies such as Waste Management. Although it is truly on the opposite end of the spectrum from say Netflix, $RSG still supplies a need that virtually will never end. People gotta throw shit out yo, Republic Services is there to pick it up.

3) Corning- Founded in 18 MOTHERFUCKIN’ 51 corning has taken it’s corner of the glass market, planted it’s flag and the rest is history. $GLW has perfected its craft over 150+ years and made some agile and sophisticated moves to keep their engine running. Recently they made a notable deal with Apple to supply the glass on every one of their iPhones. I haven’t researched the company very long as I have just found them, but they are interesting to say the least. With a great, historical company and some fantastic deals, the sky is the mafuckin’ limit. My question is how is this stock only $29 a share?

4) Ball- Ball is located in good ole Colorado and creates and manufactures glassware and aluminum cans. Ball has definitely been in your hand at one point, in fact I’m sure plenty of Balls have been in your hands but I’m talking about the cans and bottles, you creep. Ball has international and domestic customers, provides bottles and cans to some of the biggest names in the food and beverage industry, and recently Ball had a resurgence because basic bitches love their stupid (and overall shitty) DIY projects that they can post to the gram. Ball has a smaller moat than the companies listed above, but have equally as much potential.

Ok, so why the fuck do I look at these very unknown, behind the scenes companies? Because of literally just that. They are out of the noise, they do their thang, and they keep the stock up. These companies have all proven profitability, reliability, and retain the customer base they sought after. ON TOP of that each one pays a dividend. You’ll never hear about a Republic Services scandal like you would from Uber or fucking WeWork. You’ll never have the exec’s at Ball have breakdown on twitter. No, these companies keep out of the limelight and keep their companies in tack. My investing philosophy takes bits and pieces from investors that I think highly of. Easy to read stocks with easy to read business plans, reliable management, ability to turn profit, and of course, they gotta pay that dividend.

Anyway, that’s my take on it. Until next time.
